Federal Skilled Trades.

The Federal Skilled Trades Program was created to help Canada attract skilled tradespeople from abroad to support certain industries in the national economy. This program allows butchers, bakers, chefs, cooks, manufacturing workers, agricultural workers, electricians, welders, construction workers, and other trades to immigrate to Canada. The program is managed by the Express Entry system.

To be eligible for the program, foreign workers must demonstrate relevant work experience in their trade for at least two out of the last five years. The Federal Skilled Trades Program also requires either a job offer from a Canadian employer or a local license allowing them to practice in the given trade. Jalili Law works closely with Canadian employers and can connect you with one who may be able to provide you with a job offer. Book a consultation to learn more!
